Wildman Family Statement of Faith
- We believe that there is only one God, eternally manifest as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That these three manifestations are coeternal and coequal from all eternity, with distinct personalities but of one essence.
- We believe that the Bible is verbally inspired by God in its original writings, that it is truth without any mixture of error, and is the sole rule of faith and practice.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God Who entered into the world through the virgin birth, living among us without sin as perfect Man and perfect God.
- We believe Adam was directly created in innocence and the image of God and did not evolve from preexisting forms of life. By voluntary transgression, he fell; and thus the whole race is now sinful by nature and practice, unable to please God, and therefore justly condemned to eternal separation from God.
- We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood on Calvary as a perfect, unblemished, vicarious sacrifice for our sinners, thereby fulfilling the type of the sacrificial lamb for our sins. He died, was buried and rose again bodily as He had promised, thus securing for believers the blessing of salvation and that He is now ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father until the day that He will personally, bodily return to reign and rule on the earth.
- We believe that men are justified by grace through faith in the perfected work and shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ without any mixture of works. However, faith that saves always produces works of Godliness. Saving faith results in growth within the spirit of the believer which causes him to change his outward actions. This process is to continue throughout a Christians life.
- We believe the Holy Spirit convicts sinners of their sin; regenerates, sanctifies and indwells those who believe and fills and empowers the believer for effective service.
- We believe that the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit as detailed in the book of Acts and the various epistles continue to this day. This includes the offices and ministries and the gifts and manifestations. The various workings of the Holy Spirit were given to enable the believers to be effective witnesses. We still need His enabling power today.
- We believe in the priesthood of the believer and that God has made provision for each believer to be victorious by being led of the Spirit and crucifying the desires of the flesh.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost the just unto the resurrection of life eternal and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation.
- We believe that Satan and demons are fallen angelic beings who have great power to influence and afflict humans, and that they can manifest their presence in ways detectable by human senses. However, they are totally subject to Gods will and their power extends no further than God allows it.
- We believe that Hell is a real place, created by God for the eternal, conscious punishment of all beings who reject His Lordship.
- We believe Christians are commanded by Scripture to abstain from all forms of compromise with unbelief.
- We believe that the Bible sets forth principles of Godly living and that we must learn and follow these principles to avoid and refute false teachings and concepts.
- We believe Christians are commanded to follow Scriptural methods of discerning, exhorting, warning and reproving those who violate or reject the principles of Scripture.
- We believe that worship in the forms of singing, praying, giving thanks, and expressing our love for God is to be a participatory part of our service to God. Worship should draw us and those who observe us towards God and away from the world through honest expression of the thoughts of our hearts, the presentation of Biblical truth, and the active sharing of Gods faithfulness in our lives.
